Juanita Nathan is a long time resident of Markham, a community youth outreach worker, seniors support staff, and a counselor for abused women. Juanita dedicates her time and energy striving to make positive changes in the lives of youth, parents and seniors.
Whether its helping students get their life on track and back into school or helping women cope with abuse, or ensuring that seniors are active and informed about their health; Juanita plays an instrumental role in the lives of many individuals and families. Her record on community involvement and grass roots engagement is exceptional. After graduating from Brock University with a BA Psychology, Juanita went on to complete a special project for the Ministry of Attorney General focusing on domestic abuse.
Her strong desire to help young people overcome obstacles and challenges put on her path to get involved in the community and pursue a career in the social services sector. Juanita Nathan currently works with YOUTHLINK, Family Services of York Region, and Social Services Network of York Region.
